No Man’s Land is an urban greenspace reclamation project in South Boston. The once abandoned site is nestled between South Boston high school and Dorchester Heights National Park. It is ever changing as each summer SPOKE youth add another artistic element, working and learning beside Michael Dowling and Richie Dinsmore.
The space is multi-tiered with hand built stone walls, a pollinator and serenity garden, several sculptures, a poetry path, mosaic bordered walkways, stone cairns, a plaza created with mosaic portraits, and more. All projects serve to integrate art with workforce development skills.
