By participating in art—whether creating, experiencing, or taking a cultural action in response to the art—we believe that community members are taken on a transformative journey that helps them gain a deeper understanding of themselves, of others, and the overall human condition.
Spoke Gallery creates a network and space dedicated to redefining the role of art in culture and a hub for artists of all disciplines who seek to shape and participate in a dialogue that advances the view of art as more than a commodity. We hope to provide a support system and home for artists, where they can grow, learn, and put into practice this exciting and significant concept.
In tandem with the gallery, WeSpoke is a series of hybrid talks with artists working at the intersection of creative expression and social change, addressing the role of the artist in bringing communities together, creating cultural action, and illuminating new ways of understanding social issues.
